Kelly and Paul's wedding had beautiful detail, elegance, I love the handbags instead of flowers, the bm dressses and the little details. (check out all the Twigs and Honey corsages and flower pins that she used for her wedding) Before the wedding started I even sewed up Kelly's Mom's dress while Kelly took photos of me.. Talk about photojournalism!

Vineyards.. bright flowers.. the day the hurricane came though.. Although I do have to say these photos are some of my favorites of this year. The fact that these two went outside when it could of started down pouring took alot of risk.. and they got awesome photos.. and might I add that this wedding had the most insane dance floor.. rippin it up!

Ban.do is an awesome new company that creates one of a kind hair pieces. These hairpieces remind me of some of the flapper styles with a modern twist. The two creators Jen & Jamie, seem like two peas in a pod who will take your idea or an idea they have and just go with it!

I love the fact you could wear these to your own wedding day or a night out.. So versatile! I need to get myself one sometime soon! I know one of my future bride(s) could totally wear one of these for their wedding.

This past weekend was just about the busiest it has been in a while..
-A beautiful wedding on 24 5th in NYC on Friday
- Saturday morning ... Client meetings and a meet up with some friends including Monica Z Photography.. We were supposed to have a shoot together, but the iffy weather did not help and it was cancelled.
As you see we look tired from the night before. (that's because we give it our all at every wedding :)

I got up slept and recharged.. played with my tilt shift lens that might I add Monica and her husband Chris had a blast with.

I met up with Rachel of Merge Weddings on Sunday.. we hung and got henna tattoos.

The day ended with a henna tattoo on my hand...

Anne and Allen - The Foundry

Anne and Allen are two really cool people who had a really cool unique wedding at the Foundry. ( the Foundry located in Long Island City, is a unique building with arches, industrial stairways, a large courtyard and not to mention the deep green ivy that covered half the building ) Anne looked gorgeous in her french cage veil and excuse the amount of french cage veil photos. I just really, really love them and she looked amazing in hers. Enjoy!

It was truly a pleasure to shoot Jackie and Brian's wedding. Loved the kilts, the beautiful colors that were incorporated into the wedding. Jackie's hair was awesome! Brian's kilt rocked!! And the dancing and singing was insane that night! Loved it!

Today I worked feverishly on these wonderful art edits for this couple. What are art edits? Art edits are a option I offer with all my packages, they are a way for me to be completely creative with the photography that I offer to my clients. Any photograph that pretty much does not look like an average photo whether it be the photo with alot of contrast, a filtered look, lens blur, sepia and black and white,etc. is an art edit. These art edits can be bought via online as prints or added to the dvd as an image file or your wedding album..

Some good news.. I will be switching from Blogger to Wordpress soon.. I just feel like there are to many limitations with Blogger. A whole new look for the Laura Ryan Photography blog, new blog header, plus larger photos!

I will be no longer booking weddings for 2008, I am completely booked up until Jan. 2009. I will be still be accepting clients for engagements, day afters, etc. in the months of Nov. & Dec.

Ireland -Personal Post

Ok so why Ireland? Well my husband and I are really into history, geography and Ireland is just an amazing place to take photos in general!! In addition to the history of Ireland my Keith and I are both Irish. Hence my middle name Ryan ( which is my Grandmothers Maiden name) and my Husband is like almost 100 % Irish, I am a bit of a mutt but have it in me. My Grandmother told me that my Grandfather was from Tipperary County. . So I went, every ones last name was "Ryan" its like the "Smith " of America. Ireland is amazing no complaints, not even about the fact that I drove manual on the left side of the road for 9 days straight.. don't ask!!

In addition to seeing where our roots were. Keith and I headed to these places:
Galway - we found out we stayed in the same B&B as Chelsea Clinton in Salthill, Ireland
( just random fact)
Connemara - we went and drove all over this town stayed on a cliffside B&B and I mean this was cliffside, the cliffs are like 5 feet away from you as you are driving. We also went to the Aran Islands , went to the most remote island of Inis Mean, hiked and then fell asleep on the beach.
The Rock of Cashel in Cashel - Co. Tipperary
Kenmare- fun little town on the ring of Kerry we stayed at a Farmhouse it was amazing.. We loved the Ring of Kerry so much we went around twice.
In addition to the Ring of Kerry we went to the Skellig Islands. Amazing remote islands one is a bird sanctuary and the other was a place for monks in 1100ad as a place of isolation. These monks made approx 1000 steps leading up to the top of the island. Yes this is what Keith and I decided to do on our anniversary. We took a crazy boat ride 40 min out in the Atlantic with water splashing on us with about 9 other people.. I had my camera in a plastic sleeve clutching on to it trying to take photos and almost thinking please I don't want to fall over board. We finally made it and trekked the long staircase up to the top. At the top are Beehive huts where the monks lived. Most of the monks were later taken over by barbarians, thus later it was abandoned.
Now crazy tourists climb to the top~
In addition to this madness we then drove into Bunratty did the Medieval dinner, went to the Aran Islands and visited the Burren, Kylemore Abbey, saw also a Neolithic grave and hiked in Connemara State Park where preserved bog lands are.
Along the way to all these places we played with random dogs, trekked up to abandoned houses from the Great Famine and climbed castles.. I couldn't think of a better vacation, ever seriously..

Some of the first photos I took were in Galway city- we took a touristy ride around the city, here is the bus driver in a fight with another driver. They were very proper to each other when yelling, unlike many Long Islanders about our bus driver getting into this situation:

Hey Everyone-
My husband Keith and I are off to Ireland, back to the home country. Keith has family there, my Great Grandparents were from Tipperary. So I have about 75% Irish from my Mom's and Dad's side with a mix of some French, Keith is like 100% Irish. From July 1- July 9 its now or never. We are celebrating our one year wedding anniversary, we were married on July 7, 2007 of last year. The other celebration is my 30 Birthday I think a birthday party at Bunratty Castle is definitely called for. I am at a really good time in my life and feel really good about turning 30. This trip is going to be great, I am excited for Keith because this is his first time to Europe!
I can't believe its been almost a year so far, this time last year I was putting together an arch at 2 am in the morning with my friend Amanda and thinking about everything that was going to happen. More importantly I am married to my best friend..I can't believe I am writing this post already... here are some pics from our wedding by Farnaz K-

This location, so unique! It was an a old carriage house converted into a loft style space for weddings and other events. Ken and Kate had a beautiful, unique wedding here. Just look at Kate's dress. I had a field day at this wedding with all the pieces of Art deco, Roman and Greek art work.

Jamie and David - NYC - Engagements

Jamie and David are getting married next year in Jan. They chose Riverside park for their engagements. It was a beautiful day and it was alot of fun capturing them. David showed off his dancing skills and Jamie did an amazing job posing. ( I love your dress Jamie, I am pretty sure I just saw in the new J. Crew Catalog. I love blues, the dress showed off beautifully in the photos)

Jamie and David rescued their adorable puppy Annabelle from a shelter, she was a wonderful last minute addition to the shoot.

Jenn and Pete had a beautiful spring day for the Trash the dress shots in Central Park which involved; various subways, the MET central park, trees, castles and to many things to list. I was happy to invite Rachel of Merge Weddings to come and shoot with us. It was an extreme pleasure to work with another talented photographer!
Jenn and I have been talking about this shoot for a couple of months now and we were rained out two weeks ago, we lucked out today with amazingly warm weather! We started off on a subway ride to 42nd, that ended us up at 14th ( because we were so into the photos on the subway we didn't notice we were going downtown lol) We got back on headed to Grand Central, (where we met Rachel) headed to the MET, then had an amazing time all over Central park.. Here are some of my Favs.. there are soo many .. as Rachel said on her blog my favs are the the spontaneous ones we did together, the accordion, under the bridge getting the high school kids to cheer, Pete climbing trees .. These photographs below are some of my favs of the day:

I have been quite busy this past month.. I will be posting some new shoots that I did in the last two weeks including some new engagements and even a shoot with a 1 month old.(which I seldom do, wow all I can say is very challenging)
I am getting psyched for a Trash the Dress this weekend and some fun shoots coming your way.

My niece will be born next week so my husband and I will be away for parts of next week to go see her !

Tami and Pete - Milleridge Inn, NY

One of my favorite venues Milleridge Inn, has tons of old world charm. I have been going there since I was a kid, I even worked there for a week in 2001 while I was still in grad school. (that didn't last long - I am not exactly a waitress, I couldn't hold the tray up! lol)
Anyway, Tami and Pete looked amazing together throughout the whole wedding. Tami had a theme of Daisys through out the venue. ( as you will see from the cake )
My favorite thing to do at the Milleridge is of course going to the the village and eating their amazing cinnamon bread. I was pretty psyched to photograph them in the village .. Here are some of the pics:

Wow what can I say urban chic meets a purple themed sweet wedding. Chloe and Tadd's families are as close as you can get. Chloe is amazingly sweet woman who has a glowing personality and Tadd just compliments her so well.
Their location, Bubby's is an awesome location for a wedding, loft style space great for cocktail hour amazing reception space, photobooth.. mac and chesse, fried chicken, pulled pork mmmm, peanutbutter pie and chocolate cake for dessert....

Ok I had a amazing time at this shoot with Yuriy and Shana..we had a blast at what was known as King Zog's Mansion (what is left of it) at Knollwood Preserve in Muttontown, NY. (good luck finding the ruins, but we did with some tricks)
I was even luckier to find a couple who would want to go on such an expedition with me for their engagement shots.

Unveiled Bridal Designs Tear Drop veil

Dorene from Unveiled Bridal designs, designed my wedding french cage veil last February and ever since then I have been a huge fan of her site. We collborated on a tear drop hat with a blusher styel veil. My friend Kim was my lovely model for the veil, she did an amazing job modeling. The shoot was in Amityville, NY where I currently live. Amityville has an amazing amount of antique stores and has a old turn of the century charm feel. Here are some photos from the day

Bridal Finds: Twigs and Honey Love

I am very honored to have collaborated to do some product photography with Myra of Twigs and Honey (her blog is http://twigsandhoney.blogspot.com/ ) who has an amazing store filled with handmade vintage style hairpieces, necklaces, boutonnieres. I first found out about her lovely designs from Brooklyn Bride Blog.
I think these designs are wonderful and compliment any wedding to give a "vintage look, " or the handmade route . I just love how they are so beautiful and refreshing to look at.
I would love for one of my 2008 or 2009 brides to go for this look!!

Wow, thats all I can say write now about WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers Conference). I stayed 5 days in Vegas to listen to some of the top wedding and portrait photographers in the world. ( Such as Jerry Ghionis, a personal favorite) As we sat in on these classes we learned new techniques, ways of thinking and approaching the art of wedding photography.
On top of that I roomed with some great people Monica, Chriselda and Stacey at Bally's in Vegas, please checkout their blog for more pics. I also met some great wedding photographers who extremely friendly and open to talking some in particular : Anne Ruthmann, Scarlett Lillian, Gary Fong, Jillian Kay and plenty more.
We attended the Pay it Forward / Photo Love Cat party and had the times of our lives, we all acutually ended up helping out Anne Ruthmann throw out alot of the prizes. ( as you can see from some of the pics)
In addition to all that we did some fun photoshoots with Myra of Twigs and Honey
faboulous teardrop/ hairpieces for her website. However I think some of these photos that we took of each other are going to be used for a new blog header, hmm not sure yet.
Anyway WPPI was an amazing, amazing experience, I can not wait to go next year!

WPPI Conference - Away from March 14- March 19

I will be attending the WPPI Conference this week. ( Wedding and Portrait Photographers International )I am so excited to be going for my first time. Its one of the biggest trade shows for professional photographers, some of the best photographers in the world will be there. One of my big goals is to look for new album companies for the 2009 year, learn some new techniques, network, all that fun stuff and of course lots of photo shoots.
I am happy to meeting up with some fellow photographers and of course the ones I am sharing a room with :) :

Engagement Photography- Flat Iron Building - NYC

I met this lovely couple today.. we talked about marriage, children, what happens when you turn 30. (I will find out this year) We had some interesting adventures in the cold, cold weather. I have to give it to them, a little over an hour in the freezing cold to brave it that long. We ended the shoot in a cute diner with red stool seats with coffee and tea, you don't see to many of those anymore. The owner there let me go behind the counter to take photos and gave us advice on marriage, quite a character! I had alot of fun, pulled some muscles in my leg from sitting to long in front of the Flat Iron building hopefully I will recover soon! (for the love of photography)
In this set, I have been really experimenting with tilt shift photography. I had dabbled a little into last year, but its really been growing on me. I went to a photo class where Vincent La Foret had spoke out about his travels as a National Geographic Photographer and his use of the tilt shift lens. Thats what first sparked my interest back in Oct. 07, I think we are going to see a little more use with the effect this year!

3. WPPI !!!!!!!! Leaving March 14th for Vegas - Its a amazing photography convention for Wedding and Portrait photographers. I am going to be doing many workshops, I am looking forward to learning more and adding to my knowledge of photography and spending time with my photography friends!
4. Please keep those entries coming in for the Destination photo contest we got so many great ones so far.. Its going to be a really tough decision..

Twigs and Honey

So while reading Brooklyn Bride's Wedding blog a couple of days ago, I came across this unique seller on Etsy named Myra of Twigs & Honey.
Myra makes these unique Victorian vintage style hairpieces, they were written about in Brooklyn Bride's blog because of the fact they would make really amazing hairpieces for brides to be.. ( Hint Hint future brides I am photographing )
Each piece has lace, a flower, pearls, beads attached to a gold comb.. What I like about her pieces is that she puts and pulls together really interesting color combinations out of assorted feathers that she pairs up with these hairpieces.

I can not tell you how thrilled I was when I came across her store on Etsy, to find pieces that each have unique personalities. I have taken some pictures of the piece I bought ( and plan on wearing out) happily sent them to her and in addition to this she posted a great blog piece about the photographs I took

I, like so many out there, am a self described pack rat. Every snippet of ribbon, length of thread, button, and broken sand dollar, I hoard because someday, I'll need it (right?). Well, as for my hair pieces, I develop these little attachments to each one and always wonder, "Did they arrive to the customer okay?" OR "I wonder what adventure it will be taken on?" Recently, I was fortunate to have a wonderfully talented photographer purchase a piece from my Etsy shop. Kansas City - Missouri

Well I spent a lovely 3 nights 4 days in Kansas City, MO for a visual arts conference. I had a really great time and met alot of really interesting people from all over the world. Sharing ideas about the visual arts all weekend long.

I ate at alot of really cool BBQ restaurants and ate TONS of cookies. ( I put on 3 pounds eating foods and desserts I would never eat here in NY because well I am always watching the scale.. I was not watching it this past weekend...hey I was sort of on a break lol .. anyway it will come off)
Days when I had free time, was wandering around Kansas City. I am a wanderer and when I wander I bring my camera and probably look crazy most of the time to viewers. Well because I love taking photos of the little details. The snow footsteps, my cookies, architecture and rosettes, my amazing hotel room with the great view of the city and the WW I memorial. I also headed out to the Nelson Museum saw a great exhibit on the history of photography which I will talk about later in this entry and lots of abs. expressionist art.

Kansas City is not like a city you could compare to NYC, I read about how it has just been revitalized in the last ten years, they are making more accomodations for tourists to go and visit the area. At times I felt it was very empty, well also its the middle of the winter! Anyway this is what my days looked like:

Of course I had to hang out in the photography wing for like an hour.. They had some really nice early, early Daguerretypes, Salt Prints, Albumen Prints (Reddish colored prints) from the 19th Century. I want to go in this direction this year with some experimentation with the "Albumen look."

This is a pristine example of a early sharp Daguerretype. Dagurretypes are always sharp, unless the sitter would move for the 3-5 min exposures. lol
This little girl you can tell her hands moved but look at the rest of her, sharp sharp!!!

After I was with everyone in my conference group we all agreed we didn't want to spend $85 + on a Steak house, we settled for this amazingly mouthwatering Mexican restaurant that has the best guacomole I have ever tasted. ( OH yeah it was pouring rain when we left)

I then wandered a found a photobooth in this restaurant called a " Street Car Named Desire"
(post photo booth photos later) Yes, there are still black and white photobooths left in America!

My hotel at the Westin was across the street from Union Station, which was built in 1914. The architecture was amazing in there, look for yourself:

The emptyness I was feeling about this place can be summarized here:

People riding segways in here for $5 a piece ( I didn't get that one)

COOKIES:

There is one Amtrak station in there, the rest of the area holds some really nice restaurants and stores. More empty restaurants, this one is reminiscent of Edward Hopper

It snowed one day there (something we are not used to anymore in NY)

My last night there I saw a freight train, it was interesting a full of colors something I had never seen before I snapped this photo:

Since the wedding season won't start up again until the end of March I have had some free time on my hands and found this great site called Etsy.com

This site is a artists/craft maker / small business owners dream.. I found some of the coolest things on this site. I finally made my first purchase yesterday, I bought some Valentine's day

cookies and Cranberry scones for my family from Bubbleberrybaking on Etsy.com

In Memory

My best friend Kelly's, Grandmother died this morning. She lived a long and full life. I remember her when I was 12, as the woman who would teach us fun games to play ( like penny poker) for hours. She was a really wonderful woman. Kelly asked me to restore some of her amazing photobooth photos of her Grandmother & Grandfather from the 40's. ( there is something so romantic about the Photobooth I just can not describe it) They both look so dapper, sigh I love the way women did their hair in the 40's.
Anyway I thought these images would be interesting to post, they are really beautiful and a romantic. Its such a great way for everyone to remember her.

Color and Technical thoughts on Wedding Photography

There are tons of photographers on the internet, you will notice that each photographer has a certain style or aspect that defines his or hers own work. Which got me thinking yesterday what is my goal when I shoot a wedding, what are important aspects to look for on a wedding day? How does the photo come out at the end of the day? I think these are important things to think about or ask a photographer when looking for one.

To me when I shoot a wedding I look for details, things the bride or groom may not notice on the day of the wedding. I look at the way color and light go together. Cropping in the camera, the moments go by so quickly you have to be on guard all the time. How flash is used, placement of light on the dance floor... You have to have a plan of action when those formals come. You have one chance only to capture the day.

At the end of the day when I look at the photos that I have captured of my clients weddings and I am editing I think about color, how does color come into play with one photograph? Maybe color doesn't work maybe a high contrast black and white, maybe sepia, maybe the bride went all vintage at her wedding and wants a classic muted color to her photographs. These are the artistic decisions that go into wedding photography. I have been really experimenting alot with these concepts and I feel that all of my thoughts that go into these images really have been coming through in the end. Photography is an artform, Photography is technical, Photography is a thinking process.
On that note, I have been "experimenting" with some styles of color and have been loving this deep vintage look. I leave you readers with the above image.

Wow, I did it I just booked a trip to Ireland. I am really excited about this trip. Keith and myself will be taking off at the end of June 2008 for this trip for a wonderful 8 night driving tour flying into Shannon. Yes we are driving manual, luckly we both know how. I am looking forward to seeing the art, especially castle ruins, monoliths and nature in general. My camera is going to go into a coma from all the photos I plan to take.. Oh .. could you imagine wedding photos right are these cliffs or anywhere in Ireland?? Droool

2007 was an amazing year, 2005-2006 were great years also, but 2007 was the big year for myself growing as a full blown Wedding Photographer. Just striving to get the look and feel to my photographs was my main goal. ( Fun, natural and colorful )

2007 was about change, change for the better. Keith and I got married on 7/07/07, had an amazing year with the support of my husband, families and friends. We are enjoying married life so much.

In September there was a major change and overhaul to my website and look. I launched a new website, logo and a new look which has received a overwhelming response. I am so grateful to my family, friends for assisting me with this transition in my business. I couldn't had done it with out you all. ( You know who you are! ) Thank you Steve Castro @ www.atomikart.com

I want to also look back on the amount of photographer friends I have met in the last year you guys have taught me so much about everything!!

I am so excited for 2008, there have been so many brilliant couples that I have met in the last couple of months. I still have some dates open for 2008 not many but some. So please feel to email me with your inquiry. I don't have another wedding until March, so I will be spending that time doing album design, going to Missouri and planning a trip to Ireland with my hubby. I know all pretty random things, but tons of fun.

I am a little tired from last nights festivities so photo posting will have to wait until later.

Taking a little Break - Happy future New Year Everyone!

I am taking a little break until Jan. 3rd 2008. There are many great happenings to look forward to in 2008. I am going to be spending the last days of 2007 going to the MET in NYC tomorrow to see the Baroque Christmas Tree along with the Rembrandt Exhibition with my hubby and friends. Then I am off to work on cleaning up the home for the big New Years Eve Party on the 31st.
I can't wait until 2008, 2007 was just such an amazing year for my photography business. Its amazing to see it grow so much in the last 6 months. I can only hope for amazing things to happen in 2008.

Just want to wish everyone a Merry X mas, I had a great day and I couldn't help but to take photographs of my niece. We had a blast, played with some barbies, she posed for my camera with her new red coat and doll..I remember vaguely about the details of my 3rd Christmas in 1981, all I remember is a shiny Strawberry Shortcake bike. Well my niece got a ton more than that and this doll. Here she is investigating it.

I want to wish everyone a happy holiday!!! I will be off seeing my family and having my first newlywed Xmas with my hubby. As you can see we got along with our decorating style, Keith put his Star Wars Tie Fighter hanging out in the xmas tree. ( I really don't mind at all) And I bought this really interesting Folk art Christmas sculpture by the artist Becky Geis. We are going to have a interesting Christmas collection.

Art Exhibit time -- Info on 2007 and 2009 Bookings

Its the time again.. I will be in the Firehouse Gallery Art Exhibit in Bay Shore, NY with some of my fellow artists. The opening is Dec. 14, 2007 at 4pm.
Here are some previews of photos that will be on exhibit.. I usually include one or two wedding photos that I have done in the year 2007 along with some personal work. I have been taking alot of photos of children lately. Being that my niece is getting older and more photojournalistic. In addition to that I have been slowly exploring child photography.

Just one annoucement on weddings, due to the overwhelming response to my recent website launch(which is great) I am going to be limiting the amount of weddings I will be doing in the year 2008. That way I can give proper individualized attention to the brides and grooms I book with. There are some dates left but not many. I will be booking for 2009 at the beginning of March.

Wedding Season Coming to an End

Well I can't believe 2007 is almost over.. It has been exciting photography year. Actually one of the best. ( Also because I got married lol)
2008 is almost upon us, I am pretty psyched for some of the weddings I will be shooting next year. There are tons more which are just to cool to mention right now, we will see over the blog as I shoo them next year.
I have one more weddings left in this season, so I hope to be updating soon with new photos.

Photo Plus Expo 2007 - Javits Center -NYC

These last couple of weekends have been a blast... I am having the time of my life and had an even bigger time of my life meeting some famous wedding photographer celebs.. So let me explain why! This past weekend I spent two days at the Photo Plus Expo. The Photo Plus Expo is one of the largest expos on Photography on the east coast. I attended two seminars on Macs Aperture & Adobe Light room. All really amazing stuff! My photography friend Kimberly met up with me and we had a blast.

On Friday I got to meet the world famous Harry Benson. Harry Benson is a well known photojournalist who shot extremely famous photographs of the Beatles, Truman Capote, caught Robert Kennedy's assisanation on film, many presidents and more.
I don't think he likes looking at the camera though:

The next day I worked at the Shootsac booth. I helped out all day long with selling the shootsac. An amazing lens bag designed by Jessica Claire who is a amazing wedding photographer out of California. (yes I read her blog often) This bag which can hold about 4 various lenses at a time, (this is a great lens bag if you have tons of prime lenses and yes it can easily hold the 70-200mm) is also very fashionable as you can change the types of covers you put on the front of the bag.The cover on the bag is also a lens cleaner!!!
If any photographer knows how it is a pain to have to change lenses, with the Shootsac you can just go into your bag put your lens down in the bag change the lens, etc. etc. I had a blast hanging out with Marissa and Keats all day long at this unique event. I was happy that I could help them out and had a good time selling the bag to customers.. I wish I could had met Jessica, she had went home the day before.
I will post pics of my new Shootsac in action in the upcoming weeks.

Seven hours later we were taking the booth down and famous wedding photographer Gary Fong who is well known for the Lightsphere walks up and I got a pic. Wow its just so strange meeting people who you read about online all the time!

Monica Z Photography meets Laura Ryan Photography

I have "wedding photography" friends online. What better way to expand on your abilities as a photographer than to talk to and meet someone else who is a wedding photographer. Monica came out to NY from Indiana on a vacation and I met her and her husband in NYC ( I brought along my husband to) for a fun photo shoot outing which included:
1. Brooklyn Bridge
2. China Town
3. Battery Park City
4. Native American Museum
5. Union Square Park

Julie & Ed - Old Field Club - Setauket, NY

Julie and Ed had a beautiful and enduring theme for their wedding. Lemons. There were lemons on the cake, lemons surrounding the centerpieces of calla lilies of the table settings, even a lemon tree (instead of a card table) with their guests names attached as leaves to the lemons. So detailed!!! I love detail and I love photographing detail. When the guest found the lemon they had to cut their lemon off the tree and take with them. How cool is that?? Everyone had an amazing time and they had the time of their life. The "before shots " were taken at the brides home. Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful old greenhouses surrounded this home. I had to get some shots of Julie posed in them.
The Old Field Club was a great place for this setting, I can't wait to shoot there next year.

This place was beyond words..Beautiful restored historic landmark mansion. built in 1863 and restored in 2005. Its now a restaurant, b&b and reception hall for weddings. I was so happy for David & Vanessa they were so into posing. I loved Vanessa's glasses!
